HONEYBEES (NURSERY ROOM)
THINGS TO BRING FOR YOUR DAY
Within the Honeybee room, we like to help promote sensory play, please ensure you pack spare clothes for your children so we can encourage them to participate in some very messy play activities.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE HONEYBEES ROOM.
In the Honeybees’ room we provide children with a variety of activities that are developmentally appropriate for the different stages of each child’s abilities.
These include fine motor , gross motor, cognitive, problem solving and social skills as well as the self regulation of emotions.
The educators in the Honeybees room offer a calm and welcoming environment for both children and parents. We introduce sign language as a second base of communication within the room.
This will further encourage children's communication and language development. (LO 5.1- Children are effective communicators)
Children of this age are interested in getting to know their world and environment, because of this, the educators promote sensory play in the Honeybees room to encourage children to understand their surroundings.
YOUR HOME ROUTINE
We try to follow the routine you have at home with your little ones and understand that children this age have ongoing or changes in their routines, we work from your child's routine, their wants and needs.
