16 children, 2 staff

Each Day Rosellas will need to bring:-

(1)1 complete change of clothes
(2) Pull up nappies if they are in nappies.
(3) 1 set of named sheets in a named  drawstring bag or pillowcase (cot sheets fit mattresses well)

Please ensure all items are clearly named.

The centre will supply a named hat that belongs only to your child and will be given to your child when they leave the centre.


Some of the Activities that are Designed for the Rosellas Include:

Each day in the Rosellas room a wide range of experiences and activities are offered in our program. The children are encouraged to develop language skills and improve communication skills.

We provide:

* a wide range of books;

* impromptu story sessions;

* play games

* encourage two-way communication to improve listening and thinking skills.

 

To encourage creative/constructions skills we provide:

* a broad range of art activities

* paints

* a wide range of blocks

* music

* collage

* playdough

 

Dramatic Play/Role Play

* We provide props for children to become involved in their play.

* We encourage imaginary and dramatic play.

 

To improve & build gross motor skills we encourage children to explore a variety of physically challenging equipment by:

* obstacle courses

* adventure playground

* ball games

* bikes

* sandpit

* tumbling mat

 

Our goal in the Rosella's Room is to support and foster the children's interest in play. We believe that children learn through the avenue of play so by providing a broad range of activities and experiences we will build and enhance the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of the child.
